Putting aside speculation and rumors about collusion between the Donald Trump campaign and the Russians, nothing of which has ever been proven, documented, or discovered, and put aide collusion between the Democrats, Hillary Clinton's campaign and those connected with the Trump dossier, getting warrants based upon the same dossier and the like which may be under investigation in Congress, putting all that aside.
Real collusion is before our eyes daily, with regards to most of, what is called, the Mainstream Media outlets. Okay, Collusion may be the wrong term given that I don't believe anything going on is illegal but surely organized. What I mean is that it's so profound and evident that it's undeniable that most media outlets have an agenda and work together to accomplish that agenda. How else could anyone explain the almost mirror reporting and stories that exist each news day?
If you miss one news network's broadcast but catch another station then you have essentially covered every story that you missed on the one. In other words, ABC has essentially the exact same stories and play on the story as NBC, CBS, MSNBC, and CNN. You even hear EXACTLY the same words in describing a story even though the news outlet sources vary and are different and that extends into the different forms of news such as print news, online news, and broadcast news on Radio and TV. It is as if there is one central clearinghouse for all news stories where a select few determine the slant that each story will receive and what keywords will be used to bring home that agenda or how they want it perceived and taken.
As I said collusion may not be the right word since what's going on is not illegal but the resemblance of some preset agenda on behalf of most of the Mainstream news outlets should be highly concerning to all Americans. The Media and news outlets are not part of the checks and balances of Government as determined by the Constitution, at least not a part of Government itself but surely a "Free Press" and unbiased media can be a check and balance upon abusive political power and a Government went awry from its specified purpose and duty of being responsive to the American Citizen/people. The media, today, needs to function more like it did in the Watergate days but then there was that cooperation between branches of media and media outlets then.
It was all but accepted that for a long time now media has worked together to help sell certain narratives or present a uniform impression to the American public and mostly these narratives and impressions have favored the Democrats or Democratic politicians but some of it can be explained and understood. It's understandable that there was orchestrated concealment of President Roosevelt's handicapped status where certain camera angles and shots were arranged and made that helped the American public overlook the fact that the President couldn't walk and needed assistance. Likewise, President Kennedy surely benefited from favorable political news coverage or lack of it when it came to his sexual escapades while in office and also with reference to his own health problems with reference to his back problems and the painkillers he normally took to combat them. Most Presidents have a certain relationship with the media and visa versa but what is going on today seems different in that there is more a political agenda behind the news, more than ever. Can that be changed or moderated and can there be trust established back with the media? I frankly don't know! I know, for myself and for my part I don't trust what I hear coming from CNN, MSNBC, or most of the other major News outlets including print news such as the New York Times and Washington Times.
I don't know about political collusion and collusion between Russian sources and campaigns but I very much believe we have a form of it in our Media and reporting daily and it's such that most of the reporting today is highly politically biased. There is frankly no other way to explain over 90%+ continual negative reporting with respect to Donald Trump's presidency. It's to the point that journalist and News are becoming propaganda and untrustworthy. Where terms like impartial, fair and balanced, and non-political become extinct.
