Despite the Obama administration's efforts to severely curb the efforts of the IG departments, including the most recent denial of direct access to legal evidence, two IGs got thru with a request to determine if Hillary has committed criminal actions in exposing classified information. Whether DoJ will approve the request is the rub.
"Two inspectors general have asked the Justice Department to open a criminal investigation into whether sensitive government information was mishandled in connection with the personal email account Hillary Rodham Clinton used as secretary of state, senior government officials said Thursday.
The request follows an assessment in a June 29 memo by the inspectors general for the State Department and the intelligence agencies that Mrs. Clinton's private account contained "hundreds of potentially classified emails." The memo was written to Patrick F. Kennedy, the under secretary of state for management."

IG departments include lawyers, auditors and investigators. They are supposed to be independent of their department and executive influence, The administration has dismissed IGs, limited their investigations and, otherwise directly thwarted the IG law. No wonder, as there would be a dozen criminal inquiries, otherwise.
