... starvation, chaos, riots. many deaths. Only 15 days of food left in the country. Once again, people learn the same lesson over and over.

Yes, I, too, am rather dubious of Infowars as a direct source.  However, this rings true when compared with other sources.

As to InfoWars, even a broken clock is right twice a day. The evidence from other sources indicates Venezuela is at a tipping point. The question is where do they go from "Democratic" Socialism.

Venezuela crisis: Maduro threatens seizure of closed factories

The Venezuelan president, Nicolas Maduro, has threatened the seizure of factories that have stopped production and the jailing of their owners.

In a speech to supporters in the capital Caracas, he said the country had to recover the means of production, to counter its deep economic crisis.

On Friday, he introduced a new, nationwide state of emergency.

Opposition protesters have been rallying in Caracas to push for a recall vote to eject him from power.

Mr Maduro said the state of emergency was needed to combat foreign aggression, which he blamed for Venezuela's problems.

And he said military exercises would take place next weekend to counter "foreign threats".

It's looking like full communism is coming and "military exercises" might mean they're looking for scapegoats as new sources of "other people's money".

When majority Venezuelans voted Hugo Chavez into power in 1999, Hugo's Socialism was the People's answer against the foreign corporations. Kinda like "Sticking it to the Man", so to speak. It was payback time to see the Venezuelan Government take over private enterprises both foreign & domestic, to an extent, Hugo's government deemed necessary.

Today, we see people getting hungry & everyday necessities in short supply, those democrat socialist citizens (those who voted Hugo in Power) must be thinking to themselves that the Government has to get "More Involved", in order to provide more food and living necessities. Can't live on oil alone. Hugo's quest to kick out US & other Foreign owned Oil managed operations, left the country lacking in experienced & managerial operators that were foreign born. Diversification into other supported industries were minimal. Main focus was all about Government Controlling their Oil production and relying on poorly run government jobs, initiated in the areas of, poorly thought out, production job efficiencies & practices, failing to become a low cost global oil producer. Money cost to bring oil above ground was of no concern, as long as it created jobs for Venezuelans, but the world commodity oil prices caught up with them and could not compete globally. Thus resulting in, NO Viable Currency.. Worthless Money!! Not enough money to print new money!! That's how bad it is in Socialist Venezuela.

Venezuelans are now Begging for Government to Help them & It's Government is totally Helpless to its own people.... See the Trap Socialist governments set, when there is Too Much Government Involvement?

To Little To Late, to Fix this Broken Democrat Socialist Economy ... Marshal Law will be in effect soon as riots are on the horizon as a way of life...  Like Katrina, when all the folks were spreading the word.... "Wal-Mart is open after hours and giving away all their stuff !!"  Yea Right!! I'm gonna go Get me Some. I want my Fair Share of Free Stuff..

When they nationalized the foreign owned companies, the government had to pay.  Else, all their oil exports would have been seized to pay the debt.  There are a few, nasty controls nowadays on irresponsible governments.  They are allowed to loot their own pockets, however.

When, colonialism ended in the UK's African colonies, several of the new governments seized shops and companies owned by Indians.  Then, gave the seized assets to cronies.  Cronies prospered for a time selling their loot,  However, no one taught them about re-ordering stock or making more products.  The Indians fled to India or the UK.  Cuisine in London was vastly improved, plus the Hindus and Christian Indians didn't want to behead anyone, just make a few pounds and shillings.
