That 16 year old needed to be slapped. I can see him pushing up on the old white haired lady at about 1 minute in. Any 16 year old that pushes up on some grandmother deserves a beat down.

I agree with you 100 percent,even at the time he got slapped he was in her space in a very intimidating fashion
Betty reminds me of Florence's own Elizabeth Romine...nutty as a fruitcake and should be prevented by her family from making a fool out of herself. Who in their right mind has a vendetta against someone because they use a golf cart to get around in the neighborhood? There are real problems in this world, just turn on the news and check out the misery in Haiti.

So true. During those unfortunate instances when my dog gets loose, I'd rather see golf carts putting around than automobiles flying up and down the road. You have to be a real trouble maker to get upset over something so trivial.
As for the video, I can't really tell what's going on. That looks about like one of my videos. I mostly see walls.
Very clear the 16 year old wasn't simply attempting to pull Betty off his mother and then got slapped.
Its really sad to see the examples some so called "Christians" are setting!! A very good way to let your light shine; causing trouble over a golf cart for someone who can not drive, and street lights that were there before you moved into the neighborhood!! I hope you like the seeds you are sowing because what you plant you will reap.....
I disagree with you, Lawrence. Can't tell from this video. At te one minute mark Tina had ALREADY been knocked to the floor. The son was very possibly reacting to that at the 1 minute mark.
Yeah, I hear a slap and then the video pans over and I see Charlie lunging toward Betty. I can't see what happened before he lunged, but I hear the slap. The first part of the altercation is not caught in this video. I can't tell who started what.

Disagree. Someone was separating them already and the 16 year old got carried away. You can see the son Charlie pushing them both down. It's clear as day.

Well, I couldn't see Betty get knocked down by the son but I did see and hear the things she did. When you see the son coming toward Betty she has just slapped him. Betty didn't appear hurt to me!

I can hear a slap but I don't see it. I'll assume it was the white haired lady slapping the "mom". Then the son Charlie rushes in along with another older guy in a white hooded sweatshirt.
The "mom" doesn't go down with the slap but as these two rush (the son and the man in the hooded sweatshirt) they appear to take both women down.
Then you can see the white haired lady had gotten up and the young man got in her face with his chest ****ed as if he wanted to fight a old woman. A older man has to yell at the boy after the white haired lady slaps him as if it wasn't painless obvious at this point that the boy was doing more harm than good.
The "mom" doesn't go down with the slap but as these two rush (the son and the man in the hooded sweatshirt) they appear to take both women down.
Then you can see the white haired lady had gotten up and the young man got in her face with his chest ****ed as if he wanted to fight a old woman. The whole affair was caused by This Betty McKinney going after the mayors wife. You can plainly see that, they go down, the camera shifts away and comes back in time to see the infamous slap.
In my humble opinion, it clearly shows the McKinny woman as the agressor.

I think it's funny though that the "smoking gun video" doesn't even get half of the altercation. It's like he had to watch the melee and forgot he had the camera on and then remembers it and then gets sidetracked.
I do think this whole situation is crazy. Yes, I realize what the "traffic laws" etc say, but first off, this is a neighborhood in Cherokee -- not a main thoroughfare to anywhere. Secondly, the woman is disabled, so if she could walk there I'm sure she would. Third, if you have no life but to wreak havoc in someone else's because you are so jealous, you seriously need to get a life and get over yourself.

It looks to me like the boy and the other may run to pull Betty off Tina. I can't tell if Tina is in the floor yet or not. Either way, if Betty hadn't rushed Tina none of this would happen. This is all nuts and embarrassing for the town.
Also commenting about the boy acting like he was going to "fight an old woman" you have to remember all the problems and torment this woman has inflicted on his family. Honestly, I think he controlled himself better than most teenagers and adults. Additionally, this is not your ordinary sweet little old lady.
Apparently there's something really interesting on the walls that I'm not seeing. 
I don't believe that I would hire this ?videographer? for any important function.

That is very evident. This woman walks toward her victim then accelerates the pace right at the end, that's what seems to trigger the people coming from the side to stop her.
In my opinion, the boy does not do anything to be slapped. If you go around slapping everyperson who says something to you that you don't like, you will spend a lot of time in jail. You walk away, unless you are this woman.

This boy Charlie Lansdell seems to call Ms. McKinney a ***** and then I hear a slap. I can't tell who is slapping who. I thought the teenager slapped the older woman. All three should be ashamed and the mayor too.

Mrs. Landsell is seen walking in front of McKinney. McKinney confronts Landsell, the camera turns away, then"you hear me" is heard followed by a slap. The son then moves McKinney away from his mother. Then Mrs. Landsell is seen being loaded on the stretcher.
From what I saw here and knowing of the past news that has been published, Mr.s McKinney is going to have to pay her attorney to keep her out of jail. I am willing to bet she will be banned from attending any more council meetings. She should be ashamed of herself, it looks as though she stalked the mayor's wife to me. I know several very nice people from Cherokee. It's a shame that there are a few bad apples who are making that town look like a bunch of rednecks reside there.
From what I can tell it looks like Tina is trying to pass Betty and Betty grabs her. You can see her pull Tina around and something about "you hear me". Then the son runs up and tells her she needs to back off. After that cant really tell much. Betty was doing the grabbing first. It doesn't matter if it's a hit or grab assault is assault if you dont want someone touching you. The son was trying to protect his mom.
Seems to me the entire town of Cherokee would be well served for Tina to be sentenced to, oh, say 10 years of "house arrest".
from what i could tell betty stopped tina buy putting her hand on her. i could not hear tina call betty a B!tch. then the boy and man reacted to betty's actions which probaly caused them to go down. then betty and the boy got up. the boy put his hand on betty's back and she turned and slapped and he tried to block it. the street they live on is a neighbor hood street where the speed limit is 25mph and children ride bikes without helmets. maybe the soultion is more law enforcement to arrest these awful individuals doing these henus crimes. Lord knows this is the most pressing problem cherokee has.cherokee used to be one of those towns where a good Christian woman such as betty would offer to take a disabled tina to her friends house and even be a friend herself. I guess this is another example of the world going to hell. Watch Needful Things ;0

I'm not sure if this is a serious remark, but both women should be sentenced to public service and if Tina can't do it, then she would deserve 90 days in jail. I think that would be enough for her actions. I doubt they would do it since they gave probation in another Colbert county town to a man who vandalized a woman's house because he was diabetic.

here's a quick question. if it is determined the boy didn't start this. would it be assaulting a minor since he is 16 and the old lady slapped him? because we all know kids can talk down to elderly folk and we can't touch them because of the child abuse issue. i think that would probably be even more jail time.
