Let me see if I have this straight.   You made a claim that Tim Tebow demands a fee before he will share the Gospel.  I disagreed with you, asking you to show the "proof" -- i.e., the mysterious URL link.

And, in your adult way (please forgive the smile), you demand that we make a "bet" first!   Is that about accurate?

My Friend, believe me, and I am very serious -- having wasted time in dialogues with you over the years -- I HAVE LOST SOMETHING!  It is called "self respect!"  

I keep asking myself - why would a fairly intelligent person (me) waste so much time trying to have a dialogue with a person (you) who still has the mentality of an incorrigible first grade delinquent? 

So, have I lost something?  You bet -- BIG TIME!

Yet, just maybe other Christian believers will read our dialogues and find a golden nugget or two that will help them when they have to refute secular false beliefs such as you display.  So, for that help, I do thank you.   But, it comes at the expense of my own self dignity -- having to put up with your childish chatter.

My theology may not always be perfect but I do think that I've got this part spot on. I've always taken Matthew 6 as Jesus rebuking those who only pray, give, and do good works in attempt to exaggerate their character in front of other men but act in a different manner when no one else is looking. I've never taken it as a directive to not pray in public at all, group prayer and leading prayer are both encouraged as is publically professing your faith of which part of might sometimes be praying when other people are around. I also believe that Jesus directs us to not just ramble on when praying in public or leading group prayers, God already knows what you want or need and he knows the specifics of what your thankful for so there is no need in dragging out a prayer, especially the ones who try to instruct God on what to do when they're praying. I don't think that Jesus likes it when some folks use public prayer as a form of passive bragging to either boast about things they've done or make it look like God favors them more than others. When praying, we should be more worried about our prayer life that is between us & God instead of worrying about what other men think. As for good works, I'm sure that it makes God happy when we do good things but I don't think that he likes it when people try and brag about their good deeds to Him or each other.

When you put on your "I AM A CHRISTIAN!" hat -- and then start regurgitating such things as:  

Bill seems to think that God spoke the Bible directly to a publisher, and apparently he didn't do so until Martin Luther's time (only 66 books), but he then changed his mind for the KJV (added back the books), and changed his mind once more (going back to the 66 books).

Saying that God "sealed" the Bible is ridiculous. History clearly shows that whatever religious book you are reading was written, edited, and compiled by men.  How can God "seal" a document whose origins are lost?

Not a dodge, just attempting to keep my posts aimed at more adult readers.  Therefore, I do not play your childish school yard bets and number games.  I prefer to address Christian issues on a more adult level.

So, while you are playing your school yard "my daddy can whip your daddy!" games -- I remind you that my Daddy is also called God -- and NO ONE can whip Him.

I see Tim Tebow as a shining example of a Christian witness.   You see him as someone who is trying to make money off his Christian faith.  

By the same token, I believe the Bible to be God's Written Word, His full revelation to man.   And, you believe it is just some book of myths and false stories.

My Friend, you are free (that is the beauty of living in a Christian nation) to defame God, the Bible -- and even Christians such as Tim Tebow who are not afraid to share their faith.  But, one day YOU will stand before Tebow's real Boss, Jesus Christ, and explain why you insist upon denigrating Him, His Written Word, and all His followers.  Good luck in that endeavor!
