If the name posted as the last poster is on the forum list, but not on the forum itself, it is more than likely because you are using the back key in your browser. Navigating this way causes your view of the list to not be refreshed, but when you enter into the forums you see the most recent content. Using the keys within the forums will allow you to see the most recent content and lists. However, regardless of whichever button you use, when in the forum thread, you will see the most recent content.

I used to catch fish that way. But, Mott is after a different catch. I am out of her/his game.

I think I must be out of both of your games, LOL... no clue what you are talking about!

This is the first Forum that I have been a member of that ever used the word "Troll"... and I still dont quite get it.

An internet troll is one who visits various chat boards and likes to stir up trouble with crazy stuff, sometimes foolishness or ignorance of the subject at hand.

Most boards I go to ban trolls.

Shoals Lover and Mott are examples of trolls. Mott makes posts simply to provoke and get a response, not to discuss anything. Shoals Lover will post strange replies that make no sense at all, flood the forum with threads, and copy/paste random junk.

Troll is simply a word for a disruptive poster. The best way to handle a troll is to put them on ignore.

I could not have summed that up any better. No offense meant toward these two, but it will make for a better forum if the posts are something that add to a conversation and provoke thought instead of anger.

When I was a child, I used to speak like a child, think like a child, reason like a child; when I became a man, I did away with childish things. I Cor 13:11

If one rarely or never asks for clarification or explanation, ignores posts, then claims they "make no sense at all" such an one could hardly be blamed! After all, it is difficult to understand something one purposely ignores, isn't it?!

Name-calling has never been my forte. It does, however, appear to be that of another.

Online forums can be fun and engaging. In real life as in virtual life, decorum becomes everyone, and is always in style.

One thinks I post "strange replies that make no sense at all"? Again, it would be difficult for anyone to purposely ignore anyone, refuse to seek clarification, and then proclaim understanding.

However, read the following "copy/paste random junk" from a select name-caller, and consider the implications.

"You still don't understand. I give up. Please, if you don't understand how government works, don't vote. You'll be helping out the country more by staying home." Posted 08 December 2006 10:22 PM

"You get confused easily, you don't understand things. People who don't understand how government works and are easily confused should not vote. If you can't understand the process, then don't interfere with it." Posted 10 December 2006 09:34 AM

"I'm shocked, our resident Klansman has finally said something I agree with." Posted 15 November 2006 06:28 PM

"Kindred, you are once again confused. I'll keep it very simple. If you can't understand that, there is nothing I can do to help you." Posted 30 November 2006 04:16 PM

"Unbelievable. It went right over your head. I simplified it as much as possible and you still completely missed it. I feel bad for you." Posted 30 November 2006 05:24 PM

"I didn't say it was the American worker's fault, you missed the point too. Unless you're retarded, staying in a minimum wage job is a choice. It's simply a dumb idea." Posted 30 November 2006 06:06 PM

"The problem with you is you think people are stuck where they are. You don't believe in hard work or success, you said so yourself. You don't believe people can improve themselves or move up in this world. You don't believe in the American dream. Not only do I disagree, my hard work and success proves you wrong." Posted 30 November 2006 07:13 PM

"You are the voice of doubt and complacency. I really hope no young person actually listens to you, but rather proves you wrong and makes something of themselves." Posted 30 November 2006 09:49 PM

"The more I read your posts, the more I feel sorry for you. You are truly out of touch with reality." Posted 01 December 2006 12:38 PM

"You are a very sad person." Posted 01 December 2006 06:11 AM

"People who think families are living on minimum wage just don't get it. Minimum wage is not meant for families to live on. If a family settles for the minimum, that's not the government's fault or the employer's fault, it's the family's fault." Posted 01 December 2006 04:37 PM

"Unfortunately, I checked the forums without being logged in first. SL's post wasn't ignored and I had the misfortune of reading yet another one. Next time I'll make sure I'm logged in first so SL's posts are ignored, I love that feature. From now on I'll be more careful to stay logged in before I check the posts. They are a lot better without SL's random mumblings." Posted 03 December 2006 07:10 AM

"Another example of SL's random mumblings. The ignore feature is by far the best improvement to these forums yet." Posted 03 December 2006 04:05 PM

We now live in the world of the offended. A small group here will not dictate to me how or when I post. It seems the norm on message boards now is to label someone with a name if you can't stay up with them in an argument. There is indeed some very lowlife people here!

Now who is the one acting offended here?
Labels are earned and the purpose of a forum is not to "stay up" with someone in an argument.
You make my point too easily.
Thanks,

The premise of your argument hinges on the fact that I stated I was offended. In no way am I offended...to make your argument that I appeared offended, you erred. I should have added that too. People putting words in your mouth, or telling YOU how YOU feel about something.

I am/was just telling it like it is, no offence taken.
