Several years ago Florence was ranked high as recommended places to open a new eatery.  Whether or not that was responsible for all the new places is anyone's guess.  I, for one, am surprised that Five Guys chose to locate here but I suppose in actuality it wasn't Five Guys as much as a single businessperson who held the franchise.  Given all the new places and of them I don't know which surprised me the most whether it was Olive Garden or possibly Texas Roadhouse I'm glad to see each new place add to the community and I hope they all do good.  Now for the subject.

Who would you like to see venture into the Shoals area next?  I know I have my favorites but very much doubt they will make that choice but then I would have almost laid odds that Publix wouldn't have built here.

The two at the top of my list would be

Longhorn Steakhouse (owned by the same Company that owns Red Lobster & Olive Garden)

Steak & Shake ( highly unlikely but one of my favorites)

Be as the Bereans ( Acts 17:11 )

I'm not wanting any new restaurants.  With every new restaurant, the supply of good waiters is spread thinner, and thinner.  The quality of service across the board goes down.  Notice that Five Guys is still hiring.  I don't care how good the food is if the service is crappy, and adding more restaurants will only make things worse.

a $4.00 nasty milkshake... starbucks tastes like coffee that was brewed 24 hours ago from beans that were burnt in the roasting process.

i don't like burnt coffee...and i'm certainly not going to pay starbuck's prices for burnt coffee...
