why all the atheism bashing?

I need to have my eyes checked. I read Hippie's post as aesthetic gods and Andy Warhol came to mind.

But then I got confused because I didn't think atheists believed in any sort of higher power. (Jack Daniels is exempt)

I grew up in a fundamentalist church and this is probably sacreligious but have you ever just stood back and counted the times a fundy says the word "just" in a prayer. It's quite comical.

Wouldn't Wilde be more appropriate, or maybe a Dyad with he and William Morris?

I don't bash atheist. One of my best friends is atheist.

I am Christian and I love God with all my heart.

The way I see it is that all of us have our own CHOICES to make in life as to how and what we believe, and a forum isn't going to change that for anyone.

I don't bash people who don't believe in God, nor do I want to be bashed for my love of God.

Evidently God does have a sense of humor, allowing all those extinct animal bones to fossilize and collect into the bottom strata of the sea and land to be exposed later! That and the Hubble actually looking backwards in time! That one is rich! How can light take billions of years to get to us when it was only created plus or minus 6000 years ago!

I think the issue you have is that you can't see that GoFish doesn't blame god for anything (he doesn't believe in god remember). He is simply saying it is absolutely ludicrous to think that somehow god protected 1 person while allowing 12 others right beside them to die. It makes no sense. The only explanation I have ever heard "oh it's god's plan".

God never "planned" for people to be influenced by Satan to do such things as shoot innocent people. But it happens. People make choices. Some to follow God, others to follow Satan. There are some who become so obsessed or Possessed that they do horrible things. Those of us who believe in God also believe in Satan the deceiver and liar.

Hooting and hollering in church: praising the Lord. Giving to the hungry: silly mistake as they are lazy and worthless unsaved trash.

I wonder what this attraction to Satan and 666 is? So, Mo, are you saying Satan makes kids smoke pot and drive drunk and engage in criminal mischief and get arrested? I'd think it has more to do with poor parenting than Satan.
