2. I voted Democratic because I believe oil companies’ profits of 4% on a gallon of gas are obscene but the Government taxing the same gallon of gas at 15% isn’t.

3. I voted Democratic because I believe the Government will do a better job of spending the money I earn than I would.

4. I voted Democratic because Freedom of Speech is fine as long as I agree with what is said and nobody else is offended by it.

5. I voted Democratic because I’m way too irresponsible to own a gun and I know that my local police are all I need to protect me from murderers and thieves.

6. I voted Democratic because I believe that people who can’t tell us if it will rain on Friday can tell us that the polar ice caps will melt away in 10 years if I don’t start driving a Prius.

7. I voted Democratic because I’m not concerned about millions of babies being aborted so long as we keep all death row inmates alive.

8. I voted Democratic because I think illegal aliens have a right to free health care, education and Social Security benefits, and we should take away the Social Security from those who paid into it.

9. I voted Democratic because I believe that businesses should not be allowed to make profits for themselves. They need to break even and give the rest away to the government for redistribution as the Democrats see fit.

10. I voted Democratic because I believe liberal Judges need to rewrite the Constitution every few days to suit some fringe kooks who would never get their agendas past the voters.

11. I voted Democratic because I think that it’s better to pay billions for their oil to people who hate us but not drill our own because it might upset some endangered beetle, spotted owl, gopher or fish.

12. I voted Democratic because my head is so firmly misplaced toward the south end of my body; it’s unlikely that I’ll ever have another point of view.

No trees, Spotted Owls, or Red ****-headed Woodpeckers were harmed in the sending of this message.

All of them are as asinine as the first one. Republicans just love to tell Democrats what they(Democrats) are thinking or how they feel about an issue. These 12 reasons have never been spoken by any Democrat ever. Republicans think they can just lie and say this is reality and everyone will believe it. Sadly, the only ones that do are other Republicans.

1. That is beyond stupid...but what do you expect from the right.

2. Oil companies are still paying the same royalties for drilling on public lands as they did in 1987 even though they are making 2014 profits.

3. I do not believe that the Government will spend my money better. I do however believe that WE THE PEOPLE can do more together than separately. You know, that whole United States thing.

4. I don't care what you say, where you say it, or who you say it to. It is your right. What Republicans can't seem to understand is that if you say something that is offensive to most people then you are going to pay for your words by those people speaking out against you. See freedom of speech goes both ways.

5. I own a gun. I know how to use it.

6. I am not a science denier. So I vote Democratic

7. I believe in a womans right to her own body. I also support the death penalty.

8. I don't believe that illegal aliens have a right to any of our safety net programs. I do however believe that immigrants should be able to come to America without having to spend 10's of thousands of dollars on lawyers and spend years wading through red tape. The only people in Government I see trying to take away Social Security are the Republicans. Paul Ryan and company call it an entitlement.

9. There are no words for how stupid that statement is. Again, I have never heard a Democrat ever say anything even close to that. Many of us are business owners. Unlike Republicans we do not vote against our own best interest.

10. Another one of those unfounded and stupid statements. Well to be fair they ALL are. Republicans call any judge that doesn't agree with their agenda of control and oppression of minorities as "Liberal Judges". They really hate when the Constitution stands in their way of taking rights away from those they deem unworthy.

11. We are exporting more oil than at anytime in our history. The idiot that wrote these lies didn't even try and research his ramblings. SMH

12. He ended as he started. With ignorance.

Mr. Anderson is a good representation of the Republican party. Full of lies and misinformation. That is the reason I vote Democratic.

Bulldog. your posting is typical of the fox news addict.  If it's on fox or some right wing blog, it has to be true.  Don't bother doing any fact checking.

By the way, when gas made the first big jump, the oil companies claimed to only be making 9%.  Now they are down to 4%??  I never saw where the 9% came from, has anyone seen where the 4% comes from?

Which one of those righties recently said that we need to export more natural gas to Europe so as to lessen Russian influence?

jtd I have not watched Fox news or any of it's broadcasters in over 5 years. I can read and digest the news myself and do not need interpretation by news readers. Can you say the same thing about the news stuff you watch? I don't know if it is MSNBC or CNN or Ed Shultz or Rachael Maddow but for sure it has an influence over you that either you admit to or just go on living with those rose colored glasses.

To tell the truth, I watch cnn, but I don't really like some of their news people.  msnbc and fox sort of balance each other out, one leans left about as far as the other leans right.  I wish I could find a news source that would tell me what happened instead of telling me what they want me to think happened.

What about the 4% and 9% profit margins, anyone know if that is real numbers or something created by modern accounting methods.

I never felt like Republicans, as a whole, were imposing their religion on me, or governing my personal life. Just the opposite is true, Republicans want people to take responsibility for their own lives. Democrats think only they can tell people how to live, and it's the democrats that want to control every aspect of my life. As far as using religion, Republicans use it no more, imo less, than democrats. Of course there are hard core religious people in the Republican party. So what? There are just as many hard core religious people on the left, and they use religion way more than the right. Contendah is a lefty, ask him about same sex marriage, he's made enough posts about it, and unless I've just missed it, I have never seen you, or any of the democrats, reply to one of his posts on that subject. Now granted, I do have the insane dems on block, but before I did that I never saw them speak up when contendah posted his views. You have no problem replying if it's a Republican's post. That seems awfully hypocritical to me, and that is just what the democrats are, hypocrites. Do as they say, not as they do.

Not sure about that but he may be on my blocked list. I try to avoid political arguments altogether because, like I said, I don't know much about it. I also learned that arguing with people like that is a waste of my time and bad for my blood pressure. I'd rather just avoid them.

But as I was saying, take a look at what Alabama has on the books - abortion limits, praying in school, displaying 10 commandments, etc. And it is the Republicans wasting time and money on this nonsense.

David, how many billions of dollars and time have the democrats wasted? How many billions more do they want to waste? I have posted before, more than once, no one can agree 100% with any party, and if they do, or say they do, they have a problem. I have voted for democrats in the past, but the party has gone so completely insane I will never do that again.

Remember the three main points of the republican is god, guns and abortions.

---------------------

Just shows once more, that you have no clue and you resort to silly claims. Dems use religion more, and btw, you're all bent out of shape over prayer "banned" in schools. Which of course it isn't, but you guys keep repeating that lie. I will say this, anyone that doesn't have a problem with abortion "on demand" and being done without a valid medical reason, is one sick piece of crap.

No matter how many times this is proven a lie, Best just keeps repeating it. Cracks me up that she (an atheist) wants the Democrats to be more religious than her beloved Republicans. Yet, it just not possible. The numbers don't support her claim.

It must be hard to hate religion as much as she does and yet support the very party that would use that religion to make laws and force their beliefs on us all. I have never known anyone as confused as she is. The only thing that really matters to her is apparently making sure poor people don't get free food. As long as the Republicans keep trying to starve the poor (or as she calls them "gimmethats") she will support them. No matter how many laws they pass to force children to pray in school, or display religious symbols in our government buildings. Her motto must be "Just don't let them eat cake"!!!

That is why I don't put ANYONE on ignore. If you are going to participate in a forum then do so fully. If you don't like to hear opinions of others that differ from your own, then why are you here?

If Best didn't have half the forum members on block she would know that I pointed out the lies and misinformation in the OP.

Childish behavior on her part leads to this around and around circle. Of course she will not see this. I don't understand not being strong enough to deal with opposing views. Apparently if she can't block someone then she is incapable of either not answering their post or standing up for what she believes and making an argument for it.

You will get no argument from me that NSA is out of control. However, it was not a Democrat that started it. I do hold ALL of Congress and our President responsible for what it is now.

But, to stay on topic, or at least close to the topic at hand. Can you answer my question?

I believe the law dates from the sixties.  Doesn't matter, as like I stated, Dems ran the place for over 100 years -- ran it into the ground.  QB and accept that Dems, in Alabama, weren't enlightened leaders.

That line is funnier than Franz Kafka's Metamorphosis.  So, you believe that old line Democrats made a sea change into present day Republicans.  What critter did the present day Democrats devolve from -- raccoons or opossums.   Maybe even Armadillos.

Of course, the original civil rights act passed during President Grant's administration was repealed under the next Democrat president.  The civil rights act during the JFK.LBJ era was unpopular with many Democrats and wouldn't have passed without extensive Republican support in both houses of congress.

I used the wrong word. They are lies, not just distortions.Even if the ones with numbers in them had accurate numbers, it would still tell an out and out lie.  #1 is about as accurate as the other 11.

Sorry, but they are dead on. Why not pick one and tell us why you think it's not true? Just one for starters.
