Listen to the cops, and hear their patience with this crazy self important woman. I don't think they had any reason to believe they were being filmed as they tried to reason with her crazy ****. She didn't care how she inconvenienced anyone else, it was all about her and what she wanted.

=============================

A woman was forcibly removed from a US Airways flight on Sunday for refusing to comply with flight crew instructions. Much of what appears to have happened was videotaped by a fellow passenger and posted to YouTube (warning: graphic language).

The flight, US Airways 906, was bound for Charlotte, N.C., from Fort Lauderdale, Fla. According to a report obtained by ABC News from the Broward County Sheriff's Office, passenger Lindsay Bien-aime refused to comply with flight attendant instructions prior to takeoff and "became unruly." The pilot ordered the woman off the plane. Despite orders from Broward County officers who had boarded the flight, Bien-aime "continued to refuse to exit the plane" and "became irate, screaming and yelling profanities."

ABC News' attempts to reach Bien-aime or a representative were not successful.

On the four-minute profanity-laced video, a woman is heard shouting not only at the officers trying to remove her from the flight but at the passengers around her.

"I will hold up this whole [expletive] plane, the woman can be heard saying. "I don't care where people gotta go."

Should Bien-aime be added to our list of the World's Worst Airline Passengers? Check it out and let us know in the comments below.

In the video, the woman can be heard repeatedly requesting that a flight attendant come to her seat and explain what she had done wrong before she would leave the plane. Another voice can be heard saying, she has "been on her phone the whole time."

When the woman still wouldn't budge, the officers attempted to handcuff her, and a scuffle ensued. Two more people who appeared to be passengers came to the aid of the officers.

According to the police report, Bien-aime "scratched, kicked and violently resisted" attempts to remove her from the plane.

She was charged on three counts, including battery, disorderly conduct and resisting arrest with violence.

The incident comes on the heels of another in which a group of 100 students were kicked off an AirTran flight when some of them would not comply with flight attendant requests to put away mobile devices.

US Airways did not respond to ABC News' request for comment.

Never mind that they need to turn off their electronic devices for possible safety or security reasons.  We can't be inconvenienced for a few minutes or few hours. Have to facebook or angry birds or will pass out!!!!  And I love to facebook & play angry birds on my phone, but geez, there is a time and place for everything!

You can hear her yelling at someone that was apparently trying to keep their child from seeing and hearing her show her ****,  to let their kid see/hear the commotion "cause they need to see the real world". I guess her real world is full of nasty words, fighting, and thinking she's the only one that matters. I can't get over the cop's patience. I swear had I been there I'd have been tempted to tell him that if he wasn't going to tase her butt, to hand it to me so I could.

Ya, there's reasons for that:

This is apparently an unintelligent, not-well-educated, ignorant person who has not flown much, if at all.  If she is uninformed about such matters as cell phone (or other electronics) use on airplanes, it is probably because in the self-contained, little narrow world she willingly moves in. She has likely cultivated very few interests.  I can virtually guarantee that she does not read a newspaper and that she seldom if ever watches anything on TV other than trivial tripe.  People like her are commonplace in our society.  Sometimes it is necessary for them to be jerked around into some of the realities they have somehow missed.  Combining her obvious ignorance with an aggressive, unduly assertive personality has gotten this foul-mouthed, maladjusted jerk into trouble she has brought on herself.  I wonder if she will be able to maintain any decorum in court when her day comes due.

Hi all,

While I am amazed at the patience shown by the officers -- and totally agree that this woman should have been taken, in handcuffs, to jail, I do have one question.

Since this woman's offense was that she would not turn off her cell phone -- what about the person using a cell phone to record what was happening?   Shouldn't that person have been taken off also?

Just curious if anyone else picked up on that.

God bless, have a wonderful, blessed day,

Bill

In other words an Obama voter.

Dumb cheap shot Chuck, and predictably dumb and cheap considering the source!

Guess they figured 'we arent going anywhere anyway, let me get this on tape for good measure.'

You can talk on the phone before take off until they announce to turn off all electronic devices.  Once they announce that, cell phones cant be on at all, not even in airplane mode.

But, as I mentioned, chances are by this point the passengers had figured out they werent taking off and turned their phones back on to tape the action

Cpt Kirk,

Can't agree on the aircraft mode setting. I used to fly about 25 to 30 times annually.  Always put in on aircraft mode as instructed by FA.

From Wiki

"Airplane mode is a setting available on many mobile phones, smartphones and other electronic devices that, when activated, suspends many of the device's signal transmitting functions, thereby disabling the device's capacity to place or receive calls or use text messaging – while still permitting use of other functions that do not require signal transmission (e.g., games, built-in camera, MP3 player).

Nokia 5800 in offline mode

The name is derived from the fact that it permits the user to operate the device while on board a commercial aircraft while in flight, where the operation of cell phones and other devices that send or receive signals is generally prohibited due to the potential impact on aircraft avionics and the potential for interference with ground cell networks. Other names include flight mode, aeroplane mode, offline mode, and standalone mode.

FM Receiver, Bluetooth, wireless LAN antenna and GPS should still be operative if the phone is so equipped. Many models disable GPS and some of the other features, but this is inconsistent among manufacturers, since these latter functions are permitted on some aircraft and not others. Nevertheless, certain airlines specifically prohibit even the use of devices with a 'Flight mode' at all times."

Unless they had a parachute for her, this took place on the runway, where they would have been instructed to turn off all electronic devices, not put them in airplane mode.....

From the fact sheet:

"The FAA has issued guidance to airlines letting passengers turn on most PEDs after the plane reaches 10,000 feet. At a lower altitude, any potential interference could be more of a safety hazard as the cockpit crew focuses on critical arrival and departure duties."

That's what I figured.

As far as the person recording the video, reports state that the aircraft had returned to the gate, where the pilot had requested the officials to remove the woman from the plane. The whole ordeal took about 45 minutes. Naturally, people would have taken out their phones back at the gate, and it wouldn't have been against any rules. I expect that after this incident the pilot had to go through procedures again and ask that all cell phones and electronics to be turned off.

Also, I expect that the woman being removed from the plane had more incidences of "not complying with flight crew instructions" than the person recording.
