You guys had a great season. You will lose to a great team next week so there is no reason to hang your head.
7 - 3 over the last decade is a pretty good record for us Aubbies.
quote:They had a ridiculously easy schedule, playing in an SEC that is way down compared to SEC standards. They went into the Florida game an underdog because they WERE the underdog. Their only quality win was against Ole Miss (funny I know). Georgia finished on paper strong but that program was down this year too.

Did you not read all the post? Can you read where the AU fan was "dissing" this person for making this statement?
But, it is AL fans like you that give others a bad name. No AU did not go to a Bowl game this year but.....the real question is...how many times has the "Cow College" threw cow patties in your face over the past 10 years. Enough for AL to be considered the "Cow Sh>> College". Now that is your words of wisdom! LMAO at a smart azz like you!

In order to evaluate a season it has to be played first.
So when you talk about a team's accomplishments you normally do it AFTER they accomplish it. In this case, talking about a bunch of teams that WERE ranked BEFORE they actually PLAYED anybody is pointless
it certainly wasn't Alabama's intention to have a easy schedule. They beat teams that had the talent to be placed high in the pre season poll. I know college schedules are made well in advance and you can never tell how things will work out, but their schedule wasn't much different than Auburn's or Tennessee's and if they were 12 - 0 at the end of the regular season their fans would expect a number one ranking, why would it be any different for Alabama fans?quote:had a ridiculously easy schedule

Thus, Auburn's #10 ranking, eh?

To many people (especially Big 12, Big 10 and Pac 10) the SEC always seems weak because they all beat each other during the season but, all the teams are GOOD and can beat anyone on any given day. Who would have thought Ole Miss would beat Texas Tech the way they did? And I expect Florida to rip Oklahoma a new one. Alabama didn't play well in the Sugar bowl but, Utah was a much better team than they were given credit for, on both sides of the ball. And Utah IS 13 - 0 and the NCAA Div I football needs a playoff system, every other sport has one in high school, college and the pros.
