It's not a Republican that attempted to assassinate Republican members of congress. Assassination is a method Democrats have used for generations. They assassinated the first Republican president. Most attempted and successful assassinations of Republican presidents were made by the left. From 1864 to 1968, the terrorist paramilitary arm of the Democrats, the KKK, lynched about 5,000 people including about 3,500 blacks and about 1,500 white Republicans.
