In 1 Peter 2:10 it says,"Which in time past were not a people, but are now the people of
God;: which had not obtained mercy, but now have obtained mercy." This is speaking of the
Gentiles. It says they now can have the blessings of God and they are now able to hold
the Priesthood if they are worthy.
In 1 Timothy 4:14 it says,"Neglect not the gift that in thee, which was given thee by
prophecy, with the the laying on of the hands of the presbytery."(Elders)
Because of authority the laying on of hands as stated in scripture. Where again did your
authority to the Priesthood come from? Everyone has the right to read and relay what you
believe the Bible says but, it still does not give you the authority of the Priesthood.

Keep Marching,
Skippy Smiler

Skippy, the "laying on of hands" as an attribute of aome elite priesthood is not a New Testament concept. You Mormons have just imagined a link between laying on of hands and priesthood and you serve that up as alleged proof of the unscriptural sacerdotal system that you have cooked up. You have many "priests" who serve as Mormon "elders" who do not even come close to the SCRIPTURAL qualifications for elders found in Titus I and I Timothy 3. How dare you Mormons ordain a childless, unmarried fuzzy-cheeked 18-year old as an "elder" in the face of the qualifications that the Word of God places on that office?
