I too hope that the economy improves enough where people leave the welfare plantation and start pursuing happiness, however folks define happiness. It might be wishful thinking, but I really hope that both major parties can negotiate a more responsible entitlement system in the future that incentivizes work and punishes sloth. There is no way that a single party will ever fix the mess as it currently exists, and knowing the present Democratic party, the present handbasket descending to hell will get a rocket assist if their numbers increase above 60 in the Senate.
