bluesman I tested that one. It works, but I think the fella what started it was an apple cider vinegar producer. As effective, or maybe even more effective is any Vinegar EXCEPT white vinegar. My personal preference is Rice Wine Venegar, but I find any wine vinegar including apple cider vinegar to be just as good.

By the way, I have been using wine vinegar for about 35 years. Even the stuff in Long John Silver packets is effective. The serve it up with their fish and chips. That reminds me, malt vinegar is good too. In fact, it is very tasty, for vinegar.
Do you recall the wiping of Christ's mouth with Vinegar at the Crucifixion? I think that was actually an act of kindness. The Vinegar slaked the thirst without prolonging the agonizing death. Water would have been a cruelty, unless they planned to take him down and let him live.
