A few years back when Haley Barbour ran for governor in the great state of Mississippi, my doorbell rang at dinnertime. One of my friends from church was politiking for him. When I said I really didn't trust him, I thought he was a Fat Cat and all, she looked at me like I had blasphemed. This woman is a wonderfully sweet person, but Vote Republican Because God Is One is the attitude at my church. Now, I love my church family, just like I love my family family, warts and all. I usually just keep quiet if anybody starts talking politics. I really think it should stay out of Church, since that is not what it is about.
