In MSN's food and drink review Georges Steak Pit in Sheffield, Alabama was rated as the best in Alabama. I know there are many great steakhouses throughout the state but it's good to know you don't have to drive too far to eat at the best or at least one of them.
I can remember when we first moved to this area there was as many patrons that said Dale's Steakhouse was the best and just as many that favored Georges. I hated to see Dales come to the end that it did and how it came about that end but at least we were able to have eaten there before Dales served their last meal.

Only problem, they can't possibly know that it's the best. There are to many steak houses in Alabama to know which is best. Big Bob Gibson's keeps winning awards and it is barely passable in taste. Granted I am not a big BBQ fan, but I have had better at plenty of other places.
