Do you just take what Jennifer says as total fact or do you also have difficulty in reading comprehension. WHERE did I ever say Congress bought or paid for or ordered BIBLES? . . . . . WHERE?

Do you have a reading or understanding deficiency? LISTEN CAREFULLY --- I NEVER SAID, TYPED, OR INDICATED (as you accuse me of) THAT CONGRESS BOUGHT, PURCHASED, OR ORDERED BIBLES. Quit acting as if I did.

The title of the thread was: Did The Continental Congress Fund 20,000 Bibles?

Right there in your own words gbrk, so just where are the "twisted or changed words"???

_____________________________________________________________________________

Easy enough for anyone with basic reading comprehension skills to figure out. The words APPROVED the purchase (which the Continental Congress DID), do not mean the same as the words COMPLETED the purchase (which they didn't).

They DID approve the purchase, but never actually BOUGHT the Bibles. GB has it right. He did not lie, and if you accuse him of it, it is either that you can't understand simple English, or that you are continuing to twist his words to try to make it APPEAR that he lied.

But as I said before, the rest of us CAN read, and it is so obvious what you are trying to do that I'd think you'd be ashamed of yourself.
