Please tell me what the powers that be are thinking by not making a coaching change in basketball and baseball at CCHS. I have friends with children playing both sports and they are very frustrated with the direction in which the two programs are headed. Coaches South & Isbell contend that they are "building for the future". Come on coach, and I use that term loosely here!!! You are throwing away the playing years of your upperclassmen by what I call "Throwing" games by your techniques. In the situation in baseball, you cannot just build your program around your son and HIS friends. That is ridiculous. Both of these coaches legacies will be that they were sorry coaches who had no clue what they were doing. I have seen this at different schools for years and especially at CHS where their baseball program was lost for years by the coach just going through the motions while waiting for his son to come through before retiring. It cheated the upperclassmen of their chance to make great high school sports memories because of the decline in coaching.
I urge the board of education to make a change at CCHS in these two sports before they reach the point of being the "laughing stock" of HS sports like some before mentioned program has become.
