Reply to "Comedy heavyweights rail against 'cancel culture' in wake of 'SNL' cast member's abrupt firing"

"Just a few years ago everyone on TV and movies made fun of homosexuals.  Johnny Carson was one that told homosexual jokes all the time and called all of them *Brucie*, and after him and up until now they still tell gay jokes. A lot of the people that did and still do are still working and no one has said a word about it, and in movies they are still stereotyped and called names. Fat people have always been the target of jokes, and still are to this day. I remember a show Barbara Walters used to have where she interviewed people. There was a doctor that was doing good work and was going to other countries to help out. He had married his nurse, a VERY heavy woman, and Walters had the gall to ask him, sitting right next to her, what prompted him, so handsome and such a talented doctor, to marry her because of her weight, kdknowing that people would make fun of because of her weight! I would have loved to have been able to call the *View* and talk to her, and remind her of that". See what she and her other harpy "hosts" would have said.
