if Comey who is not supposed to admit or deny an investigation, would have not commented about reopening the Email investigation again, Hillary would have won.

Comey stated there was a counterintelligence investigation.

The F.B.I. director, James B. Comey, took the extraordinary step on Monday of announcing that the agency is investigating whether members of President Trump’s campaign colluded with Russia to influence the 2016 election.

Mr. Comey’s testimony before the House Intelligence Committee created a treacherous political moment for Mr. Trump, who has insisted that “Russia is fake news” that was cooked up by his political opponents to undermine his presidency. Mr. Comey placed a criminal investigation at the doorstep of the White House and said officers would pursue it “no matter how long that takes.”

And the rest of the story:

Former acting CIA Director and Hillary Clinton supporter Michael Morrell told an audience at an event for the intelligence website Cipher Brief that there was simply no evidence whatsoever to connect President Trump to the Russian government.

Morrell wrote an op-ed for the New York Times back in August where he both announced his support for Hillary Clinton and argued that Trump was a puppet of Vladimir Putin, “In the intelligence business, we would say that Mr. Putin had recruited Mr. Trump as an unwitting agent of the Russian Federation.” However, he’s now changed his tune and believes that Mr. Trump is not only innocent of any collaboration with Russia but he further argued that the “Trump dossier” released a few months ago is likely a fraud

Morell, who was in line to become CIA director if Clinton won, said he had seen no evidence that Trump associates cooperated with Russians. He also raised questions about the dossier written by a former British intelligence officer, which alleged a conspiracy between the Trump campaign and Russia…

Morell said he had learned that the former officer, Christopher Steele, paid his key Russian sources, and interviewed them through intermediaries.

“On the question of the Trump campaign conspiring with the Russians here, there is smoke, but there is no fire, at all,” Morell said at an event sponsored by the Cipher Brief, an intelligence web site.

“There’s no little campfire, there’s no little candle, there’s no spark. And there’s a lot of people looking for it.”

Morell also mentioned the fact that former Obama Director of National Intelligence James Clapper also argued that there was simply NO EVIDENCE that President Trump or his team had acted in concert with the Russian government.

Clapper then went on to say that to his knowledge there was “no evidence” of “collusion between members of the Trump campaign and the Russians.”

“We did not include any evidence in our report – and I say ‘our,’ that’s NSA, FBI and CIA, with my office, the Director of National Intelligence – that had anything, that had any reflection of collusion between members of the Trump campaign and the Russians. There was no evidence of that included in our report.”

“I understand that,” said interviewer Chuck Todd. “But does it exist?”

“Not to my knowledge.”

“If it existed, it would have been in this report?”

“This could have unfolded or become available in the time since I left the government.,” Clapper replied, “but at the time I – we had no evidence of such collusion.”

I believe the people who supervised the wiretapping of foreign agents and the analysis of what they swept up would be the last words on the subject. Now what needs to be answered is who approved of illegally removing the "American Citizen A", "B", etc. designations and then leaked that information for political effect.
