Reply to "Despite GOP Warnings, Restaurants Didn't Cut Jobs after Minimum Wage Hike"

there are so many facts against the min. wage raise. however to keep it simple.  No one has the right to tell another how to run their business except for safety. Second at 60 years of age the min. wage has never been enough to raise a family on. When I was young we shared apts. had two wages until we made enough. the challenge is most jobs in the USA are service jobs. The other main challenge is the wants category, when I was young we didn't drive new cars, have cell phones, cable tv ( some no tv haha), internet hook ups etc. These are all wants not needs.  Kids in my day got no names shoes, jeans etc. not Nike, etc.  Our world has become materialistic and selfish.  Government and liberals shouldn't be telling someone how to run their business.  I would contend most agreeing about min. wage increase have never managed a business. What is the avg. profit of a business?  Restaurant avg. profit is about 5%.  then what do you do with the person making $12? do they get a raise to above min. wage? or just sink to the bottom?
