Reply to "Five Themes in Isaiah's Prophecies of Christ's Birth"

Would you possibly consider an additional one and that being Salvation, from God, being offered unto mankind unlike the old covenant priesthood method whereby mankind could not achieve total, lasting, and eternal salvation for their sins and sinfulness through and in one blood sacrifice, that being of Christ Himself?

I'm not talking about once saved always saved insurance policy type salvation but rather a salvation kept secure by God's own Word and His Holy Spirit given to all believers who ask of Him Salvation through Christ Jesus.  I do not believe that there is any sin that  mankind can commit that would  rob him/her of their salvation once God has received that one nor do I believe there is any heavenly or earthly power sufficient enough to take a person's salvation.

Where I do believe that mankind's greatest gift is in jeopardy is when man/woman themselves make a conscience decision to reject God, to in effect turn away from Christ and that which was revealed unto them to be the truth.  If a person was to  turn from Christ and start, say, worshiping Mohammad or Satan or some other god or person other than our only way, Christ, then I can not say with assurance that I believe their Salvation is intact and not vulnerable.  Mankind makes a conscience decision to follow Christ, to align themselves with Christ and HIs Sacrifice as to fulfill God's requirements of a perfect atoning blood sacrifice to justify us from our sins and sinfulness.  Mankind, I believe, through their loss of faith or falling away from faith, make a conscience decision to then reject Christ openly, even after accepting Him at one time.  In that way only do I believe that a person once enlightened can then be disowned and rejected, so no I do not believe it is an iron clad insurance policy against judgement I just believe that there is no outside power or no sin that can rob us of that salvation but rather only our own free will of rejection that can and could put us at eternal risk.

That is my own belief and opinion and I believe Scripture backs that up.  For those that respectfully disagree I fully understand that there are reasons for your opinions as well and debate is one thing that helps each of us grown and mature in our faith but unfortunately, for some, it leads to confusion and insecurity about what they actually believe.  It is for this part that I believe the Apostle Paul wrote the 14th Chapter to the Roman Church and thus unto all of us as well.

May we all be in agreement together to wish each and everyone a happy, peaceful, healthy, and prosperous holiday season and new year to come, even to those whom we disagree with or take issue with from time to time.
