I'd bet a dollar to a donut there is no difference in the bulk oil and the oil in a plastic jug except price. If the cars that were talked about being gummed up in the other post had had the oil changed regular there wouldn't be any gumming regardless what brand or type it was. The gumming was caused by driving long distances between oil changes. Sure the car owner is going to claim they had it changed regular, but truth be known it wasn't. So don't go condemning a product on urban legend.
Makes for a nice tale though.
