Reply to "Golden Corral"

I know Golden Corral is  highly improved and better than Ryans but I still hate that restaurants, like this, have gone to Buffet only as I actually used to love the ability to order a specific steak, such as the GC Marinated Sirloin or a Ribeye or Prime Rib and the Bar/Buffet was secondary or in addition to the entrée.

I have a very sensitive stomach and due to Crohn's disease I have to be careful around most Buffets but of  all of them I prefer Golden Corral and have eaten at the McDonough, Georgia location many times while living down there.  The best example I can give of comparing Golden Corral to their competition, which is greatly diminishing, is like comparing Publix Food Stores to Foodland.  You can tell right away by entering and appearance that one is higher quality, better selection, and overall more customer driven than the other.

I can only hope that Golden Corral takes the time and opportunity to gut and redo much of the Ryan's interior and address many of the complaints that were so common among those who ventured into Ryans.  I'm afraid if they don't make those visible and demonstrable changes that the memory of Ryan's may tarnish Golden Corral's chances to regain the business that Ryan's had in it's hayday.
