Actually isn't the buffet a play on the old Cafeteria concept except they eliminate a number of workers that worked in the Cafeteria line? I miss Morrison's cafeteria and I believe that when Piccadilly bought out Morrison's and their recipes they ruined a good thing because Morrison's was far better than Piccadilly.
Today you can still find other Cafeterias in various parts of the country but they are disappearing fast. S&W used to be very good but are no more. S&S Cafeterias are still in business but difficult to find and there are none around this area but if you can still find one they are very good. There are also some others out west such as Luby's and K&W but I'm not as familiar with them. I do though believe I would like the cafeteria concept over the buffet but then people like the unlimited features of a buffet. Something about that just sounds unhealthy from the start. Still though of the Buffets I do prefer Golden Corral and I'm glad they are in town even though I don't usually visit a buffet restaurant.
