Sometimes you have to put yourself in someone else's shoes to feel what they are feeling. Posting and answering a post, some are better at it than others. I've noticed that some of you have been on this board for years. And the people that have been on the board for years get to know each other in a round about way and get to know their habits of posting, their views. And from what I can tell from the long time posters, they feel they own the forum. And when somebody new comes in, as long as that person believes and posts as you do, everything is ok. This has been a great lesson to me and I have to admit that I have learned from all of you. Now here I come and start out pretty good, posting and confusing you, because when I first came to the board and posted, I was welcomed with open arms. I've got your posts to prove it. Not all of you, but a few of you. And then out of the woodwork, here comes the people that own the forum, decided that oh, no, we have a liberal in here. So, how do you get rid of someone that you don't agree with? You make trouble for that person. You discredit the messanger without debating his posts or take the time to discuss the issues of the topic. You accuse me of being liberal. You judge me by what I post. And I told you in the beginning that I don't always agree with everything I post but I love to post it and get a debate out of it and learn from it. But I have yet to get any debates on any topics in this forum. To me, if you people are from the Shoals and you love your hometown and this newspaper giving you this opportunity to make this town look good, well, you really show your ignorance and what kind of people you really are. You weren't nice to me but you wanted me to be nice to you. Now, I think if you want me to be nice to you then you need to be nice to me. If you want respect from me, you got it. Just give it back in return. You started out crucifing me on my posts and complaining to TimesDaily that I made some threats which is not true and I have copies of my posts to prove it. You have private messaged each other and told each other not to reply to my posts. And you've done everything you can to humiliate me. But it's not working. I'm laughing at you. I wanted to prove to people in the Shoals area how one-sided you are to issues and that no matter what person he or she does to be nice, it will not work if she believes different from you all. And most message boards I have experienced, if it's all conservative, they will kick out the liberal or try to get him banned, as you have done me. And the same thing works with the liberal boards. It's a good thing we have message boards. I wonder how things would be if we voiced our opinions to one another face to face. Could we do it civil? Probably not. Most of you would be cursing and ready to fight. How come is it that people cannot talk politics and religion? I challange any of you to take a stab at that one. Before you accuse me, take a look at yourself, Creedence Clearwater Revival. Oh, by the way, I live in the Shoals. I know exactly where Courtview Towers is. Do any of you remember Mister C's in Muscle Shoals? And I go to church somewhere on Florence Blvd. Last but not least, I am not a liberal far left and I'm not a conservative, far right. I'm a moderate. Hope this helps you. Sweep under your own doorstep before you sweep under mine.

"I have never had a feeling, politically, that did not spring from ... the Declaration of Independence ... that all should have an equal chance. This is the sentiment embodied in the Declaration of Independence ... I would rather be assassinated on this spot than surrender it." -- Abraham Lincoln (1809-1865) 16th US President
