It's 7 to 7 millions to each school. Not the athletic dept. The money goes the schools general fund. Just might able to give a scholarship to a kid like mine who earned a 5 year scholarship because of his grades. He can't catch a football worth a hoot. but he did have all A+s in every class at Alabama.4.33avg better than 4.0

I had a daughter that played on a state championship B-Ball team...'93/'94
My other daughter played from 7th grade to the ninth...lost the first game in the seventh ...won every game till the last game of the ninth grade. She was better than her sister (I wouldn't tell her that...lol)...then came home from school one day and said she didn't wan't to play anymore. ARGHHH
I let my children make their own descisions though. Oh...its not a good idea to get me started about my children...
Yes...I have benefited from sports...but I still don't think it is fair.
