I guess the Democrats tricked Trump, et all, into hiding the phone conversations on secret servers?

Where to began?

First - The private, or secret, server was a Government server, not a personal one as Hillary used illegally.  Actually, the digital contents were moved from a confidential "Government" Server to an even more confidential "Government" server located in the White House.  Hillary, while Secretary of State, a Government employee, kept classified and Government related information on a personal server/computer that was located not on Government property and behind Government firewalls but located in a bathroom.

Second - There are plenty of reasons to store things on the private/secret server and that is confidentiality of information such as conversations with people that those conversations or documents have need of secrecy such as dealing with National Security and/or interactions with foreign leaders whose conversations often need to be kept secret and confidential otherwise a President, no matter the party, would have a problem if those dealing with him/her aren't assured that what they say will be kept in confidence.  By their very nature often communications and interactions with a President needs to be classified secret or limited to a small number of people.

Third - The information that was put on the server was put there, not by Trump but by others in Trump's lawyers or other employees of the White House for keeping confidential given the huge number of leaks that occurred from early on in Trump's administration.

Trump - directed that the contents be revealed the and there are people who have security clearances that would allow them access to the documents and information that are kept on the secret/confidential government servers so they aren't hidden or destroyed beyond recovery.  Other national leaders have to have confidence that their private conversations with an American President will remain private and confidential or it will hurt our relations with other nations and leaders.  HAD Trump directed that the contents of the conversations be destroyed there would be numerous calls for impeachment for obstruction of justice and then he would be hiding them but he didn't do that.   Hillary destroyed hard drives, cell phones, sim cards, and bleached data to prevent recovery of 30,000+ emails or conversations and preventing them from being analyzed and reviewed yet no calls for obstruction of justice or prosecution account of that.  There were efforts on the part of the Republicans to hold her accountable for her actions but she was protected by the Administration and protected by a highly partisan FBI and Justice Department who admitted she was careless but not prosecutable account she didn't INTEND to do it, or so they said. You give Hillary a blank pass and total absolution yet want to crucify Trump for nothing near as severe.

One other difference between Trump's communications and those of, say, Hillary Clinton while she was Secretary of State and that is Trump made no overt efforts to destroy data/information such that it could not be recovered or discovered.  The information of Trump's is there just restricted but Hillary deleted, erased, bleach bit destroyed her emails beyond recovery.  She also had cell phones and hard drives destroyed so 30,000+ emails were never available to anyone.  That's totally different than what Trump is connected with.

There may be more points but these are just a few that came to mind regarding this server.   None of these, I'm sure, will have any sway with an already hyper biased person that has absolutely no impartiality when it comes to anything Trump but if there is a question about whether there is an attempt to cover up something then details such as private server versus government server does mean something.  We don't know if the information was moved from a confidential government server to an even more protected one at Trump's direction or one of the White House lawyers but the information was still available for viewing or listening to it was just restricted to individuals with a more restricted clearance.

Great job at deflecting from the topic, but Trump's Administration hid the phone conversations on a server earmarked for the most top security. Nothing in these calls is that top secret. They hid the call because they knew it was wrong... plain and simple and no amount of Republican spin will change that.

Deflecting? I thought the purpose of hiding something was so it wouldn't and couldn't get out such as deleting it entirely like another, former, government official did by using bleach bit to totally destroy the information beyond repair or total destruction of the hard drives or memory devices by totally destroying them?  How about, with respect to another Republican President a famous 18+ minute erasure of recorded tape by Nixon's secretary that was beyond restoration with any of that day's technology which precipitated his certain impeachment and resignation, now that's hiding something.

Answer this if you will, for all our forum members since you are so adamant about Trump (no Trump's employees/lawyers) "hiding" information.  If you hide something that doesn't mean you release it to the press and public does it?  Trump ordered that the call's contents be released to Congress, the press, and the public.  How do you reconcile that with your statement that they were hiding it?  Trump's people/employees didn't hide the digitized information , in secret, not telling anyone but they moved it from one server to another, more secure, one.  They stated because of all the leaks that previously happened in the Adminstration's past.  Regardless of moving the data they still released it when they could have cited executive priviledge and not done so.

Donald Trump --> Releases the contents of the Call. ( outcome - not hiding, transparency further futile attempts to make something out of nothing in order to accomplish a silent coup of a legitimately elected President whom they hate, )

Hillary Clinton --> Bleach Bit data destruction, destruction of computers and phones leading to impossibility of recovery of info -> Hiding and Obstruction of justice at best - (Outcome - no trial, let off the hook because Justice officials carefully reworded their statement to omit language that would require indictment and let her off the hook because they said "She didn't intend" to do those felonious acts)

Bill Clinton -> Lied (caught lying) under oath about Oval Office Lewinsky affair (Outcome apologized for publicly ( Impeached by House, Saved by Democratic Senate but had law license revoked in the process but remained President, Protected by the same party politicians that now want to get rid of Trump for made up manufactured things that have been proven lies)

Nixon -> Erasure and recording over of previously recorded White House tapes of conversations within the Oval Office involving President Nixon -> Hiding, Obstruction of Justice ( Outcome certain impeachment leading to resignation)

Also, BTW Crans, Talk about HIDING and concealing things I didn't hear you crowing or mentioning THIS ARTICLE and these events of concealing things from the Freedom of Information Act?  Care to comment on these also?    --> OR THIS?<--

So what is TRUE DECEIT, Concealing Truth?  One only has to look at Committee chairman, Democrat representative Adam Schiff and his rendition of Trump's Phone Call with the Ukrainian leader.  Talk about concealing or manipulating the truth.  NOTHING, absolutely nothing about what Adam Schiff said Trump's call contained was true or legit but it was all total lies and this from a committee chairman.  The media is doing journalistic calisthenics in attempt to justify (OR HIDE) what Schiff did and protect him as well as trying to deflect calls for Schiff to resign from his chairman position.  How many believe Trump would receive the same treatment (from the media or Democrats) if He had been caught lying and lied, every word, as Schiff did?  Those lies would have been added to the reasons they want to impeach him and there would be no forgiveness or acceptance of lies as a parody.  You can be assured that Trump saying he was doing a parody would never have been accepted as an answer.

The media is all willing to forgive and forget Schiff's actual public lies but the same is willing to convict Trump over things he never did and spend countless days and hours reporting on the false accusations as if they were true.  That is true lies and deception.
