The only limitation, is one can call it that, is that women cannot be pastors and elders. Other than those offices; women can do any task or hold any office within the church.
Why can they not be pastors/elders? Because this is what the Bible teaches. And, this is observed in most conservative Christian churches.
Jesus respected women; as shown by the fact that the first person to see Him after His resurrection was a woman. He held great love and respect for Mary and Martha. And, many of the disciples who followed Him on His travels were women.
Yet, only men were His apostles.
We, as Christian believers, as Christ Followers, also hold women in great respect and love. But, we hold the Bible as the sole authority for our Christian life -- and it tells us that pastors/elders will be men.
