Reply to "It could soon be a crime to blame Poland for Naz* atrocities, and Israel is appalled"

To be correct, some individual Poles did collaborate in those atrocities.  However, it was the Polish Government-in-exile that presented the NY Times with proof of the camps.  The Times ignored the evidence, until the allies begin liberating them.  There were a number of governments that collaborated and some where individuals did so, but not the government, unless forced to.  Vichy France rounded up their Jewish citizens before the occupation forces demanded they do so.  The fascist Italian government ignored German requests (one of Mussolini's mistresses was Jewish).  After the fascists were removed from government by the king, the Germans occupied Italy and rounded up the Italian Jews.  They also placed the Italian soldiers in POW camps.
