Reply to "It's moves like this that actually damage race relations"

The media coverage doesn't damage race relations. What damages race relations is how we interpret media coverage.

For example,

Person A: never has experienced racism and has only witnessed a few instances of racism

Person B: Has personally experienced racism or has witnessed racism in action.

Our society is complex so both can be true.  If we are all against racism, then we need to be vigilante of it and call it out. Sometimes, people cry racism/reverse racism to shield themselves from their own stupid behavior. The doesn't mean real systemic examples of racism exist.

Bottom line: we all have the responsibility to look out for one another and to not look for scapegoats, i.e. the media, to absolve ourselves from responsibility. The same people that claim the media is dishonest still use the media when it's convenient....

That's the real challenge.
