My money is on Jenkins. Not saying that would be my pick, but he is the most openly Republican of the three. The other two might agree to run as Republicans, but I don't see that convincing Riley. I think Jenkins' comment that the new judge will be doing mostly civil work is somewhat presumptious. That was the case when Suttle was presiding. I think Jones wants the new judge to take more of the criminal load now that he's the presiding judge. As far as I know, Jenkins don't know squat about criminal work. It would be a big learning curve I suspect.
