A very astute observation. Seems like an extension of the "Stockholm Syndrome". Much more complicated than what is possible for discussion here though I fear. Seperation anxiety is another explanation. There are so many that have no real connection in their everyday lives that the "family" aura found on some boards are just an extention and perhaps substitution for their lack in reality. Good thought.
