McCain just a overly proud child with hurt feelings

Maybe it was some of the bombastic remarks that Trump made during his 2016 campaign or maybe it is something deeper but John McCain totally hates Trump to the point of doing childish things and even hurting his own Republican party. It seems that McCain has no problem taking down the Republican party if somehow that would allow him to achieve some measure of retribution toward Donald Trump. I don't know it just seems that McCain has gotten so childish and thin-skinned in his senior years but guess the rest of the Republican party and the US are going along for the ride.
