"It is no longer appropriate to call this a jobless recovery," Chris Rupkey, chief economist of Bank of Tokyo-Mitsubishi said in a research note.

Looks like our economy is beginning to improve after all. Thank you Obama and your administration !
You are right seeweed. the title says it all.

216,000 jobs added; unemployment rate dips to 8.8%

Yahoo, the level they promised if they passed the stimulus. Of course, any good statitician will tell you that doesn't cover the real unemployment number, those who quit looking or are the long term unemployed.

216,000 jobs added, most in the private sector.
Whatever the rate really is, or really isn't , this is good news and we really needed some. I keep having to remember it took almost 10 years and a real war to get out of the Great Depression, and Roosevelt didn't have half the country pulling against him.
My personal opinion is we were almost there where we were in 1929 - '33. A prolonged drought like back then, and we may have actually gone there again. I am not willing to say we're totally over this , may not fully recover in my lifetime but I am willing to celebrate good news where ever I find it. I choose toremain an optimist.
