You don't think it's a college?

I think its a "college" not a college. If you want to be a preacher at a COC then it's probably a good place to attend. If you want to be a Dr. of medicine, or a biologist, you won't learn anything there that will help you obtain that goal.

Neither will any colleges that strictly identify as "liberal arts," but they're colleges nonetheless. I had a friend who learned to pour tea at Agnes Scott...and she's very proud of it.

She also got a first class education at a school that teaches a full curricula of liberal arts and sciences and empowers young women to be more than tea servers.  You use the term "liberal arts" like it is a second class field of study.  The modern term "liberal arts" include what you might consider "soft" subjects like history, languages, philosophy, religion, and fine arts; but also includes economics, business, political science, architecture, engineering, math, and sciences of all fields.  Pretty much everything that is taught at the University of Alabama, Harvard, and MIT.

What you probably won't find at a "liberal arts" school is cosmetology, plumbing, and auto mechanics.
