Near miss on the O bridge!!!

Some fool in a red pickup lost a big step ladder doing about 50 in the left lane of the O'Neal bridge a few minutes ago. I was directly behind him (a few car lengths-thank God) and was able to scoot into the right lane without hitting somebody. Looking in my rear view mirror, I saw the vehicle behind me stop, at the risk of killing himself, to grab it, thereby saving others lives. WHY don't people secure their loads????? To the person who picked it up, God bless you. To the idiot who lost it, you need your a** kicked.
