I think it's been that way for decades, going back whoever knows how long, but year after year the munchkins, kids in school that is, are subjected to a never-ending series of fundraisers to get more money. In the past week, my grandchildren have gone through pajama day, hat day, etc each special occasion another chance for the school to procure a dollar from each child seeking to take advantage of that day's special dress or exception.
As for me I'd rather just get a request from the school, write a check, and have it over with than to go through the nickel and diming of asking for money for this and that cause. Maybe it's just me, might be, but it does get aggravating the same thing over and over and over again. Maybe I'm just trying to find something to complain about and all this is much ado about nothing. Maybe this is just the normal of our educational system these days.
