The situation was... "A homeless man who was stabbed while saving a woman from a knife-wielding attacker lay dying in a pool of his own blood for more than an hour while several New Yorkers walked past without calling for help."

Now tell me...how are you going to do ANYTHING to the perp when he isn't even there?

The article is about people ignoring the wounded man, not about protecting him from the perp. Dayyuuummm...is you that stupid?
