I remember reading an article from the mid 1930s in Soviet Pravda. They, too, addressed much the same as to the dearth of petite bourgeois values, to include support for the preforming arts, plus much that was addressed in this article. I read the Pravda article with amusement. I read the present one with sadness. Except, for the racism of the 1950s, I'd welcome a return to the rest of the values.
