The culture values the wrong things. In that video of the little girl cussing I posted the other day you see a 4 or 5 year old (if that) saying she rides on MFing 40s (rims). If kids were raised with a value for education as opposed to the street culture no doubt they would have a better shot at a future.

No serious person is ever going to give you a shot if you use expression like who dat is?, where he go?, or he my baby daddy. I don't make you sound stupid - you do.

The black community has many solid citizens, but is cursed with a substantial underclass that places little or no value on education, common courtesy, lawful behavior, or mutual respect (although many of them are quick to characterize any criticism of their distorted world view as "dissin'" or disrespect). Trouble is, that element does not even respect themselves. They are a drag on the many black citizens who work hard, behave themselves, and are a credit to their communities.

This isn't just a problem with young Blacks. The white young community is as much an embarrassment to me for the same reasons. Nobody speaks properly anymore, everybody is "hooking up", boys show no respect for girls and the girls don't seem to mind being treated like crap. The young people today are sloppy, lazy, and don't care about anything beyond what's going on this weekend. Wow. I can't believe I'm hearing myself say these things. When did I get old?

The absolute truth and the best post I've read in weeks!!!
