I don't know how many years andy griffith was on, but it only takes watching it a while in reruns to know they only had a few story lines that they repeated, and the contradictions could give you a headache. Aunt bea was such a good cook that in one episode they gave her a cooking show, but in another she couldn't make a pickle that didn't taste like kerosene. We're to believe she wanted to enter them in a contest at the fair but never tasted them UNTIL after andy had switched them for "store bought" and was praising them. Never saw mayberry, but I doubt there were any new story lines on it, and gomer just took the same old tired story lines to the marines.
