He has as much right to live as a homosexual as a person to believe homosexuality is a sin based on religious teachings. Now a religious person doesn't have the right to force a person not to be a homosexual and a a homosexual doesn't have a right to force a religious person to believe his or her behavior is acceptable. And why are we knocking Christians? Bugger some guy in a Muslim country and see what they do to you.
I have no problem with church people thinking that homosexuality is not normal. They believe a lot of crazy stuff. I do have a problem, however, when they try to keep homosexuals from having the same rights that they do, like marrying who they love, and having jobs, and being able to attend school without being ridiculed and treated with intolerance every day. These actions are almost always committed for "religious" reasons. Religious people are some of the most intolerant folks that I know. A visit to most churches in the South on any Sunday will validate this. The most segregated and closed society in America today is the church gathering on Sunday morning.
