SCOTUS Refuses to Reconsider Ban on Indiana Anti-Abortion Law

In 2016, Indiana passed a law banning medical abortion on grounds of race, sex, or disability. The ACLU/Planned Parenthood took it to court and won. After three years in litigation, the law made it to SCOTUS this week. What happened?

The Court refused to even touch it. That means the Indiana law is dead. It's unknown how many similar anti-abortion laws are headed to SCOTUS, but you can bet it will be several before Alabama's gets there. You can also be sure that the Court will refuse to hear most if not all of them.

In the meantime, the taxpayers of this state are paying to defend our new law. That law and two previous laws that haven't yet been adjudicated. Our tax dollars at work.
