Reply to "Sheffield to ask for Sunday sales"

Am I correct that Sheffield just had to cut almost one million out of their budget from the previous year. This included a near $400,000 appropriation to the school system. I don't see how adding an extra few hours of selling alcohol to the existing establishments is going to pull that kind of revenue for the city. They are certainly going to have to hope that some businesses relocate to Sheffield and that some new restaurants wanting to come to the Shoals area choose them over Florence. I'm probably wrong, but I don't see Ruby Tuesday's moving a mile down the road just to sell a drink on Sunday. I don't think it would pay for the move. And to answer NashBama...An Outback, locally owned George's Steakhouse (who I think is closed now on Sunday), and a Casa Mexican restaurant are the only "major" or "semi-major" eating establishments in Sheffield.
