Reply to ""So Much To Believe" - New Song By Josh Manuel"

Contendah, there are actually quite a few really good songs that don't rhyme at all. As a matter of fact, at the last songwriting workshop I hosted, Craig Carothers ("Little Hercules", "BFD", etc.) had us write a song that didn't rhyme at all. Some of 'em were pretty good too!

The only one I can think of off the top of my head is a great Joni Mitchell tune, "A Case of You":

Just before our love got lost you said,

I am as constant as the northern star and I said

Constantly in the darkness, where's that at?

If you want me I'll be in the bar.

On the back of a cartoon coaster

in the blue TV screen light, I drew a map of Canada

Oh Canada

With your face sketched on it twice.

You're in my blood like holy wine

You taste so bitter, bitter and so sweet

Oh, I could drink a case of you, darlin'

And still I would be on my feet. I would still be on my feet.

etc.
