Also, I do have to remind you that, while this man, Paul McCusker, a layman, claims to have left the Baptist church and gone into Roman Catholicism -- the book "Far From Rome, Near To God" gives the personal testimonies of FIFTY Roman Catholic PRIESTS -- who found they could no longer teach the erroneous doctrines of Roman Catholicism -- and left that religion to worship and teach in non-Roman Catholic Christian church fellowships.

guy at difference does it make to you if one guy leaves your church and joins another?  Why take the cheap shots such as the ones in your last paragraph?

Hi Smokey,

I believe you are asking what difference does it make if a person leaves the Baptist church, or any Protestant church -- and becomes involved in the Roman Catholic church.  Well, the answer is simple.   In going to the Roman Catholic church, the person is going to be exposed to a plethora of false and erroneous doctrines and teachings.  True, the Baptist church is far from perfect -- but, most of them do teach the full Bible, all 66 books

Then, you ask me "Why take the cheap shots such as the ones in your last paragraph?

Where is the "cheap shot" in that statement?  I am merely pointing out that whenever Roman Catholics tout a Protestant converting to Catholicism -- it is almost always a lay person.  In other words, a person for whom we have little knowledge of his/her maturity in the Christian faith -- of if they were just attending a Baptist church for social reasons.

Whereas, the book I mention, "Far From Rome, Near To God" is the personal testimonies of FIFTY Roman Catholic priests.  These are men with advanced degrees, many with multiple advanced degrees -- men who were teaching Roman Catholicism to others.  And, one day, they realized that what they were teaching was not true.  So, they left the Roman Catholic church and joined Protestant churches.

But, please show me the "cheap shot."   Just because I can see the many false teachings of that church and point them out when one of our Roman Catholic Friends raise the issue -- that does not make it a "cheap shot" -- only an effort to correct an erroneous teaching.

God bless, have a wonderful, blessed day,

Bill
