A staple to Muscle Shoals and Shoals area people were greatly disappointed when it was announced that the Donut shoppe was being close account of Duncan Donuts purchasing the building. My wife told me that the original owners were so impressed with the amount of sentiment from local citizens about how they would be missing the donuts that they have decided to reopen and bring their product back to the area. The question is where but at least now we know there is the desire to re-establish the business. I had heard that the Florence Mayor had made several attempts to talk the owners into moving to Florence so it's possible that other locations made ovations toward them as well and offered them benefits and offers to entice them to choose their area.
Initially I had thought maybe the Publix center down the road in Muscle Shoals but whoever it is I'll be glad that they will be available yet again.
