I am SURE that the advertisers DID pay for putting whatever ads they had in the paper, and their sales booklets.

This is horribly unfair though. I got a Montgomery Paper one Thanksgiving a couple of years ago, loaded to the gills with sales papers, and at least twice as big as TD and they did NOT charge one cent more for that day's edition.

Talk about GREED, it is in every BIG BUSINESS, even the ones we think we trust.

I did call the TD last year and complain about the price of the paper being doubled. I also asked if the subscribers had to pay extra for the same paper and was told "no". I brought up the fact that even the Washington Post didn't charge extra for a paper full of sale flyers that most people don't look at and just find annoying and you know what the man said? He basically said too bad, so sad. I asked him if the advertisers don't pay them a fee for their ads and he said yes. I asked him if he thought it was fair that they(the TD)were also charging the customers extra for the same ads and so basically they were double dipping and he said they could do whatever they wanted to and if I didn't like it I just shouldn't buy the paper. And he wasn't nice about it. It was apparent that they don't really care what we think.
